Sauce: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, heat the olive oil and sauté the garlic and onion until golden brown
- Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 5 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 1 (15-ounce) can diced stewed tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh oregano, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/2 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon paprika
- 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 cup carrots, minced
- 1 1/2 cups half-and-half
- 3/4 cup Manzanita Blonde Ale
- Filling:
- 16 ounces crabmeat (or imitation crabmeat)
- 1/2 cup Manzanita Blonde Ale
- 1 cup Italian cheese (I like Asiago, Romano, or Parmesan)
- 1/2 cup potato flakes
- Dash of salt and pepper
- 1 squeeze lemon
- 1 package wonton wrappers
- 1 egg white
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup olive oil, for frying
- Garnish:
- 1/2 lemon
- Chopped chives
