Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F
- 1 1/2 (1-pound) loaves day-old French or Italian bread, cut into cubes (about 15 cups)
- 1 pound semisweet chocolate, grated or broken up into small pieces
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 6 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 3 cups whole milk
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup bourbon
- Chocolate Whipped Topping, recipe follows
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup confectioners' sugar
- 1/2 cup chocolate sauce
Spaghetti-and-Meatball Cake

Make two 8-inch-round chocolate cakes as the cake mix label directs; cool completely
- 1 18.25-ounce box chocolate cake mix (plus required ingredients)
- 2 16-ounce tubs vanilla frosting
- 2 to 4 drops yellow food coloring 1/2 teaspoon cocoa powder
- 1 16-ounce bag frozen strawberries, thawed
- White chocolate, for grating

Spinach Salad with Warm Bacon Dressing

In a skillet add the bacon and cook over medium heat until crisp
- 5 slices bacon
- 1 1/2 tablespoons finely chopped shallot
- 1/2 cup red wine vinegar
- 2 tablespoons honey mustard, or more to taste
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 8 cups fresh spinach leaves, stems removed
- 8 ounces white button mushrooms (about 2 1/2 cups), thinly sliced
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
Chuck Wagon Brisket

Set up grill for indirect cooking over medium heat (no direct heat source under brisket)
- 6 pounds beef brisket
- Salt and pepper
- 2 packets (1 1/2 ounces) meatloaf seasoning (recommended: McCormick)
- 1 bottle (12 ounces) beer
- 2 cups apple cider (recommended: Treetop)
- 1 cup sliced onions
- 2 cups BBQ sauce (recommended: KC Masterpiece)
- 1 cup soaked hickory or oak wood chips
Smashed Potato Gratin

Cut the potatoes into quarters and place in a large saucepan with the garlic cloves
- 3 pounds Yukon gold potatoes
- 3 garlic cloves, peeled
- Kosher salt

Shrimp Scampi with Linguini

- 1 pound linguini
- 4 tablespoons butter

- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined

- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 (8 oz.) container whipped topping, divided
- 1 (12 oz.) box vanilla wafer cookies
- 9 or 10 bananas, sliced
