Chocolate-Glazed Pumpkin Cookies

Canned pumpkin puree gives these cookies a tender, almost cakelike texture
- 2 cups all-purpose flour (spooned and leveled)
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin-pie spice
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 can (15 ounces) pure pumpkin puree
- 4 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped
Alfredo Sauce

1. Heat milk and cream in a heavy bottom saucepan until it begins to simmer
- 1 1/2 - cup milk
- 1 1/2 - cup heavy cream
- 1/2 - cup imported Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1/2 - cup imported Romano cheese, grated
- 6 egg yolks from fresh jumbo eggs
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Candy Bar Apple Salad

- 3/4 cup cold milk
- 1/3 cup instant vanilla pudding mix
- 1-3/4 whipped topping
- 2 apples, chopped
- 2 Snickers candy bars, chopped
Crockpot Cheesy Party Potatoes

Thaw potatoes. Melt butter in large bowl, then add in remaining ingredients,then potatoes
- 2 lb. bag frozen cubed hash browns
- 6 ounces sour cream
- 10 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 can cream of chicken soup (or mushroom)
- 1 stick butter (or half)
- 1 teaspoon salt (or a little less)
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 medium onion, chopped fine (or use powder to taste - picky kids!)
Roasted Stuffed Pork Loin

1. Heat oven to 450 degrees F
- 1 box (6 ounces) stuffing mix
- 1 center-cut pork loin roast (about 3 pounds-trim fat)
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 3 pounds sweet potatoes (about 9), with skins, cut into 1-1/2-inch chunks
Herbed Shrimp Dip
