Amber Ale Cheddar Cheese Spread

Chef's note: I make this spread with Widmer's Drop Top, my favorite amber ale
- 2 1/2 cups (10 ounces) shredded or coarsely chopped reduced-fat Cheddar cheese
- 2 Tbsp. minced green onion , white part only
- 1 clove garlic , roughly chopped
- 1 tsp. whole grain Dijon mustard
- 1/2 tsp. extrahot horseradish
- 1/2 cup amber ale
- 1 Tbsp. snipped fresh chives , for garnish
Chocolate-Peanut Butter Truffle Pie

1) Heat oven to 450°F. Bake pie crust as directed on box for One-Crust Baked Shell, using 9-inch glass pie plate
- Crust:
- 1 box Pillsbury® refrigerated pie crusts, softened as directed on box Truffle
- Filling:
- 1/2 cup whipping cream1cup dark chocolate chips
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- Peanut Butter Filling:
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- Topping:
- 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon shortening
- 2 tablespoons coarsely chopped salted peanuts
Kielbasa Stew

A great hearty meal!
- 4 cups coarsely chopped cabbage
- 3 cups peeled, cubed potatoes (7 potatoes)
- 1-1/2 cups sliced carrots (1-½ bags baby carrots)
- 1 pound cooked kielbasa, sliced (2 ½ lbs kielbasa)
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil, crushed (1 full teaspoon basil-crushed)
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme, crushed (1 full teaspoon thyme-crushed)
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper (maybe a little more)
- 2 14-ounce cans reduced-sodium chicken broth (2 cans)
Tomatoes Provencal

Preheat oven to 350°. In a small bowl, combine rosemary, garlic, salt, and pepper
- 2 teaspoons chopped fresh rosemary
- 1 clove garlic , minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
- 24 cherry tomatoes , halved
- 1/4 cup coarse fresh breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Vanilla Butter Frosting

Blend ingredients together adding more milk if needed for desired spreading consistency
- OR To Divide the Recipe in Half:
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 1-1/2 teaspoon vanilla (or more)
- 2/3 tablespoons milk
- 5-1/3 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2+ 1/8 teaspoon vanilla
- 1-1/2 tablespoons milk
Cheesy Ham and Broccoli Spoonbread

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- 16 oz. cubed ham
- 14 oz. frozen broccoli florets, thawed and drained
- 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
- 3 cups Bisquick baking mix
- 1-3/4 cups milk
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
Paula's Loaded Oatmeal Cookies

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
- 1/2 cup vegetable shortening
- 1 1/2 cups packed light brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice

No Roll Sugar Cookies

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C)
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
Cinnamon 'n' Spice Dip

- 2 cups whipped topping
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Dash ground nutmeg
- Assorted fresh fruit
French Toast

Whisk together eggs, cream, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a medium bowl; set aside
- 6 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream, half-and-half, or milk
- 2 tablespoons pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Pinch of ground nutmeg
- Pinch of salt
- 6 slices (1-inch-thick) bread, preferably day old
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Pure maple syrup, for serving (optional)
