Coca-Cola Cake

Buttermilk, or sour milk (see variations) -- 1/2 cup Eggs, beaten -- 2 Preheat oven to 350°F
- Flour -- 2 cups
- Sugar -- 2 cups
- Baking soda -- 1 teaspoon
- Unsalted butter -- 8 tablespoons (1 cup)
- Cola -- 1 cup
- Cocoa powder -- 3 tablespoons

- Mini marshmallows -- 1 1/2 cups
- Unsalted butter -- 4 tablespoons (1/2 cup)
- Cocoa powder -- 3 tablespoons
- Cola soda -- 6 tablespoons
- Powdered (confectioner's) sugar -- 1 pound
- Pecans (optional), chopped -- 1 cup
Beef: Herb and Spice Roasted Tenderloin with Red Wine Shallot Sauce

I made this for my husband on our 15th Anniversary one year
- Marinade:
- 2 tablespoons rosemary leaves
- 2 tablespoons thyme leaves
- 4 large garlic cloves, peeled
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 large shallot, peeled and quartered
- 1 tablespoon grated orange peel
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon clove
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 (2 pound each beef tenderloin pieces, trimmed)
- 1/2 stick room temperature butter
- Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 1/2 cups sliced shallots (about 12 ounces)
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 tablespoon minced thyme
- 2 teaspoons minced fresh rosemary
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 teaspoon grated orange peel
- pinch of nutmeg
- pinch of cloves
- 3 1/4 cups dry red wine
- 1/4 cups brandy

I served this fabulous drink for brunch and my son's fiance absolutely loved it
- 1/2 cup oranted juice ( 2 oranges)
- 1/2 cup pink grapefruit (1 grapefruit )
- 1/4 lemon juice
- 1/4 lime juice
- 1 cup vodka
