Prepare Deutsch meatballs
- Deutsch Meatballs:
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1/4 cup fine dry breadcumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- Black pepper to taste
- Sauce for Spaetzle:
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 teaspoons caraway seeds
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon flour

- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 thin sliced yellow onion
- 1/2 lb quartered cremini mushrooms
- 2 cups white wine
- 1 1/2 tablespoon chicken demi-glace
- 3 fresh thyme sprigs
- 1/2 lb Yukon Gold potatoes, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
- 1 pint of cherry tomatoes
