Sammy and Granny’s Red Velvet Cake

1. Heat oven to 325 degrees
- Cake:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 to 2 ounces red food coloring
- 1 teaspoon distilled white vinegar
- 1/2 cup prepared hot mocha coffee
- Cream-cheese frosting:
- 2 8-ounce packages cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 stick butter, softened
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 4 cups powdered sugar
Caramel Apple Cheesecake Bars

1. To prepare the streusel topping, place all the ingredients in a medium-size bowl
- Streusel Topping:
- 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup quick cooking oats
- 1 stick unsalted butter, softened
- Apple Cheesecake Bars:
- 3 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and chopped into 1/4" pieces
- 1/2 cup + 2 Tbsp white sugar, divided
- 3/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
