  • 1/3 cup (60 grams) semi sweet chocolate chips or chunks
  • 1/2 cup (50 grams) toasted and chopped walnuts or pecans
  • 2/3 cup (160 ml) buttermilk
  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 tablespoon milk or cream
