Potato Soup
- 2 quarts water for boiling potatoes
- 8 potatoes
- 4 canned chicken broth
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon fresh coarse ground black pepper
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups cold water
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup butter
- 1 1/2 cups colby-monterey jack cheese
- 1/4 cup bacon bit
- 1/4 green onion
Savory Grilled Chicken Sauce

- 1/2 cup distilled vinegar
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 1/2 cup corn oil
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Baked Chicken Taco Wonton Appetizers

Test Kitchen Notes; the chicken filling can be made a day in advance and refrigerated however you will need to warm
- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 envelope taco seasoning (mild or spicy, I like the spicy)
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 small onion, chopped (or use 1/2 medium)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper, or to taste
- 1 (16 ounce) jar salsa, divided (can use picante sauce, mild, medium or spicy)
- 2 cups finely shredded cheddar cheese, divided
- seasoned salt, to taste (or use white white)
- 36 wonton wrappers
- sour cream, chopped green onions and chopped ripe olives, optional

- 2 cloves garlic , minced

- ¼ cup light soy sauce
- ¼ teaspoon sugar
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- 1 stalk celery , sliced
- 1 green bell pepper , sliced thin
- 1 red bell pepper , sliced thin
- 1 yellow bell pepper , sliced thin
