For the dough: Heat the milk, vegetable oil and sugar in a medium saucepan over medium heat to just below a boil
- 1 quart whole milk
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 packages active dry yeast (4 1/2 teaspoons)
- 9 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting
- 1 heaping teaspoon baking powder
- 1 scant teaspoon baking soda
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 2 cups melted butter, plus more as needed
- 1/4 cup ground cinnamon, for sprinkling
- 2 cups sugar, plus more as needed
- 2 pounds powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 6 tablespoons (3/4 stick) butter, melted
- 1/4 cup strongly brewed coffee
- Dash of salt
- 1 tablespoon maple flavoring or maple extract

Instructions Cake Pre-heat the oven to 160C fan-forced
- (8oz) unsalted butter
- (8oz) caster (superfine) sugar
- 4 free-range eggs
- (5 1/2 oz) self-raising flour
- (2 1/2 oz) macadamia meal (or almond meal)

- grated zest of one lime
- 2 tbsp cream cheese

English Sticky Toffee Pudding

- TOFFEE SAUCE:
- 1 cup plus 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

- 3/4 cup pitted dates
- 1 1/4 cups boiling water

- 1 stick butter

- 1 cup water

Pepper Steak

1) Wit a very sharp knife cut beef across grain into thin strips
- 1lb beef chuck or round, fat trimmed
- 1/4 C. soy sauce
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 1/2 tsp grated fresh ginger or 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 C. salad oil
- 1 C. Green onions, thinly sliced
- 1 C. red or green peppers cut into 1-in squares
- 2 stalks celery, thinly sliced
- 1 Tbsp cornstarch
- 1 C. water
- 2 tomatoes, cut into wedges
- optional: Add thinly sliced white or yellow onions if desired.
