To brown the honey, pour it into a small, heavy saucepan
- 1 cup clover honey
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 teaspoon almond extract
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 tablespoon hot water
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup rye flour
- Confectioners' sugar, Burnt Butter Icing or Orange Buttercream
