Except for the butter, sauce, and seasoning salt, portions are approximate
- •450 g (1 lb) butter, melted (margarine may be used, but butter gives the best flavor)
- •2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- •15 ml (1 tbsp) seasoning salt
- •1 clove garlic, peeled
- •15 ml (1 tbsp) onion salt
- •5 ml (1 tsp) garlic powder
- •250 g (1 lb) salted peanuts
- •125 g (1/2 lb) almonds
- •125 g (1/2 lb) deluxe mixed nuts, no peanuts
- •400 g (12 oz) pretzel sticks (one bag)
- •520 g (18 oz) Cheerios brand cereal (one standard box in Canada)
- •625 g (23 oz) Shreddies brand cereal (one standard box in Canada)
Spinach-Shiitake Bread Puddings

In a medium skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of the butter
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, plus more for brushing
- 2 medium shallots, minced
- 1 leek, white and tender green, cut into 2-inch julienne strips
- 1/2 pound shiitake mushrooms, stemmed, caps coarsely chopped
- Salt and freshly ground pepper
- One 5-ounce bag baby spinach
- One 1-pound round loaf of sourdough bread, crusts removed, bread cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
Buffalo Chicken Sloppy Joes

These are delicious. We have been using floured tortillas instead of hamburger buns
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 2 pounds ground chicken
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic, or to taste
- salt and ground black pepper to taste
- 3/4 cup chicken stock
- 1/4 cup hot buffalo wing sauce (such as Frank's® REDHOT Buffalo Wing Sauce), or to taste
- 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 8 ounces shredded Cheddar cheese, or more to taste
- 8 hamburger buns, split
- 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese

- 4 (1 inch thick) pork chops
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
