- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium onion, finely diced
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves

- 1/3 lb. bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 1/2 lbs. gr. beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1/2 head crushed garlic
- 1 can beer
- 1 can beef broth
- 2 cans black beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 small can jalepeno peppers, diced
- 2 cans tomato sauce
- 1 can crushed tomatoes
- 1 T Worcestershire Sauce
- 1/2 T chili powder
- 1 T liquid smoke
- 2 t. gr. cumin
- dash of salt
- 1 t. basil
- 1/2 t. coriander
- 1/4 t. thyme
- 1/4 t. red pepper
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 t. tabasco
- 1/8 t. each of black, white and red pepper

- 1 cup milk (low-fat is okay)
- 1/2 cup Nesquik powdered mix
- 3 cups vanilla ice cream
- Allow ice cream to soften in refrigerator for one hour. Mix milk, Nesquik powder and ice cream in blender. Servings: 4.
- Berry Banana Smoothie
- 1 cup reduced-fat vanilla yogurt
- 1 medium ripe banana, peeled, cut into chunks and frozen
- 1/4 cup each frozen unsweetened strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries
- 1 cup fat-free milk
- Combine yogurt, banana, frozen berries and milk in a blender or food processor. Cover and process until smooth. Pour into chilled glasses; serve immediately. Servings: 3.
- Orange Smoothie
- 4 cups ice
- 1 cup water
- 2/3 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup half and half
- 3 tablespoons Tang® orange drink mix
- Puree ice, water, orange juice, half and half and Tang® in a blender until smooth and creamy. Servings: 2.

Preheat oven to 300F and position racks in upper and lower thirds of oven
- 3 c. old-fashioned oats
- 1 cup shredded unsweetened coconut
- 2 2/3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 t. salt
- 1 t. cinnamon
- 2 cups packed light brown sugar
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
- 1/2 c. maple syrup
- 2 T. Light corn syrup
- 2 t. baking soda
- 1/4 c. boiling water
- 1 t. maple or vanilla extract
- 2 c. chopped toasted pecans
Chocolate Chip Banana Bundt Cake

- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3 large ripe bananas
- 1 c. chocolate chips

- 1/2 c. milk
