Heat milk and stir in oats, remove from heat and let stand for five minutes
- 1 1/2 cup milk
- 3/4 cup regular or quick oats
- 1 cup all purpose flour (or whole wheat flour)
- 1 1/2 t baking powder
- 3/4 t cinnamon
- 1/2 t ginger
- 1/4 t ginger
- 1/4 t soda
- 4 egg whites
- 2 T oil
- 3 T molasses

- 4 cups diced poached chicken, recipe follows
- 1 stalk celery, cut into 1/4-inch dice
- 4 scallions, trimmed and thinly sliced or 1/4 cup sweet onion cut into 1/4-inch dice
- 1 1/2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh tarragon or fresh dill
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped parsley
- 1 cup prepared or homemade mayonnaise
- 2 teaspoons strained freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt

Heat a generous drizzle of olive oil in a medium skillet over moderately high heat
- Olive oil
- 1 cup pecans, roughly chopped
- 2 small bulbs fennel, trimmed and thinly sliced
- 1 small head radicchio, cored and thinly sliced
- 2 hearts romaine, chopped
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 4 ounces grated pecorino cheese
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1/4 cup olive oil

- 1/4 cup chopped onion

- 1 1/2 pounds firm ripe tomaotes, peeled with a vegetable peeler, seeded and cut into 1/2 inch peices
