In a small bowl, combine cereal and milk
- 1 cup shreds of whole bran cereal
- 1 cup milk
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. allspice
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 cup finely chopped apples

- 3/4 cup shortening (part butter or margarine)
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 1/2 cups flour (spoon in)

- 1 tsp. salt

- 2 egg whites
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups cornflakes, crushed
- 1 cup coconut
- 1/2 cup nutmeats
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Chocolate Cheesecake (No-Bake)

Grease 8 1/2" springform pan
- 1/3 cup chopped almonds, toasted
- 2 packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 6 squares semi-sweet chocolate, melted and cooled
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 1 envelope unflavoured gelatin (7 grams)
- 1 cup whipping cream, whipped
Frosted Peanut Bars

Place brown sugar, syrup and salt in saucepan
- Frosting:
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1 cup crushed corn flakes
- 2 cups rice cereal
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp. corn syrup
- 2 tbsp. cream
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 cup icing sugar
- 1/8 tsp. vanilla
Chocolate Cream Pudding

Mix cornstarch, salt, sugar and cocoa to a smooth paste with cold milk
- 1 cup sugar (scant)
- 2 tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/3 cup cocoa (scant)
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 cups milk, scalded
- 1/2 cup milk, cold
- 2 egg yolks, beaten
- 2 tsp. butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Shortbread - 2

Combine all ingredients. Roll out to 1/4" thick
- 3 cups flour
- 1/2 lb. butter
- 1/2 cup fine sugar

- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup washed raisins
- 1 1/2 cups leftover cooked rice
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tbsp. flour
- 6 tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/8 tsp. salt
