PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES #1

always a favorite
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine (softened)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1-1/4 cups all-purpose flour

- IN MEANTIME:
- Basic sweet dough
- 8 cups all purpose flour
- 1 cup lukewarm water
- 4 tsp sugar
- 2 pkgs (8 g each) active dry yeast
- Scald 1 cup milk - and add to 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup shortening
- 1-1/4 cups water
- Cool above mixture to lukewarm.
- ADD:
- 2 eggs beaten
- Yeast mixture (above)
- 1 cup flour (from amount set aside)
SALMON ON CEDAR

Wonderful light smoky salmon taste with a yummy lemon and nut topping
- 1 cedar plank
- 3 tbsp mayonnaise (not salad dressing)
- 2 tbsp finely chopped fresh parsley (or 1-1/2 tsp dried)
- 1/2 tsp minced garlic (optional)
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp grated lemon peel
- 1-1/2 lbs. salmon fillets, with skin
- 1 tbsp pine nuts, finely chopped

- 2 tubes (8 oz. each) refrigerated crescent rolls
- 1 cup mayonnaie
- 1 pkg (8 oz) cream cheese softened
- 1 tbsp dill weed
- 2 1/2 cups mixed chopped fresh vegetables, (cucumber, radishes, carrots, celery, mushrooms)
- 1/2 cup ripe olives
- 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 3/4 cup shredded mozarella cheese

- 4 bacon slices, diced
- 1 medium onion, sliced or chopped
- 2 cups niblet corn, frozen, fresh or 10 oz. canned cream corn
- 1 1/2 cups diced raw potatao
- 10 oz. condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 3 cups milk
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp pepper
