- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour (about 1 ounce)

1. In a large stockpot, cover beans with just enough water to cook them in
- 1 (16 oz) bag Great Northern Beans, pre-soaked
- 1 large chicken breast
- 1 cup medium salsa
- 1 (14.5 oz) can corn
- 1 large onion, diced

Jamaican Jerk Chicken

I found this recipe for Jerk rub in Woman's Day, but I usually use a prepared Jerk Marinade that I get at the groc...
- Jamaican Jerk Rub:
- 2 teaspoons Jerk Rub, recipe in directions
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves
- 4 tsp. ground allspice,
- 1 Tbsp. dried thyme
- 1 Tbsp. paprika
- 1 tsp. ground red pepper (cayenne)
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. onion powder
- 1 tsp. salt1/4 tsp black pepper.
My Favorite Chicken Marinade

Brown meat in skillet. Drain well, and transfer to a crock-pot or slow cooker
- 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef 7% fat, Extra Extra Lean, (93 % lean)
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder, or 1 minced clove
- 28 ounces tomatoes, canned
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 1 medium green pepper, diced
- 15 ounces tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup chili powder, less for kids
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper, up to 1 1/2 t.
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon cumin, maybe 2 t. cumin
- 1 bay leaf
- 30 ounces pinto beans, canned, (or kidney beans, or both ) for a total of 2 cans drained
