- 2-1/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup confectioner's sugar
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 4 eggs
- 1-1/2 cups white sugar
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
BISCUIT MIX

Mix flour, baking powder, sugar and salt
- 5 cups flour
- 1/4 cup baking powder
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter or margarine
VANILLA BEAN ICE CREAM

With a knife halve vanilla beans lengthwise
- 2 vanilla beans
- 3 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1-1/2 cups sugar
- 3 large eggs
WARM WINTER LEMON CAKE

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- 1 package yellow cake mix
- 2 cups cold milk
- 1-1/4 cups water
- 2 packages Lemon Flavor Instant Pudding
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
BRINE FOR PEPPERS

Bring all ingredients except garlic to a boil and pour into jars
- 6 cups vinegar
- 2 cups water
- 1 tablespoon and 1 teaspoon pickling salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 clove garlic per jar
TOHOUP CHOP MACADAMIA NUT PIE

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F
- Basic Sweet Pie Crust:
- 1 prepared Basic Sweet Pie Crust, recipe follows
- 2 cups macadamia nuts, lighted toasted and chopped
- 3 large eggs
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup light corn syrup
- 3/4 cup dark corn syrup
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 tablespoon Frangelico, Nocello, or other nut-flavored liqueur
- Pinch salt
- Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, accompaniment
- Nocello Whipped Cream, recipe follows
- 8 ounces flour, about 1 1/2 cups plus 2 tablespoons
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 stick cold butter, cut into 1/4-inch pieces
- 2 tablespoons solid vegetable shortening
- 3 tablespoons ice water
- Yield: 1 (9 or 10-inch) pie crust
- Nocello Whipped Cream:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 tablespoons Nocello
POLENTA WITH BACON AND FONTINA

Saute chopped bacon in skillet over medium high heat until crisp about 8 minutes
- 1/2 cup finely chopped bacon
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1 garlic clove minced
- 5 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup frozen corn kernels thawed
- 1 cup polenta
- 1 cup (packed) grated Fontina cheese
- 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
INDIVIDUAL RASPBERRY LEMON CREAM PIES

- Meringue:
- 3 egg whites
- 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
- Dash salt
- 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup sugar
- Filling:
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup conrstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups whole milk
- 8 egg yolks
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons grated lemon peel
- 2 cups raspberries
- Topping:
- 1/2 cup whipping cream
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1/4 teaspoons vanilla extract
BASIC TAMALES

- Pork in Red Tomato Sauce:
- 24 dried corn husks
- 1 cup lard
- 1 teaspoon salt
