Grapenut Bread

Soak grapenuts, sour milk, and sugar for 1 hour
- 1 cup grapenuts cereal
- 2 cups sour milk or buttermilk
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- salt
- 1/3 cup shortening
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 cup hot water
- 4 cups flour
Old Fashioned Oatmeal Apple Cookies

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Grease baking sheets with shortening
- 3/4 cup butter flavored shortening
- 1 1/4 cups firmly packed brown
- sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 1/2 tsps. vanilla extract
- 3 cups quick cooking oats
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 cup peeled, diced apples
- 3/4 cup raisins
Zucchini Bread

Beat the sugar, oil, and eggs
- 2 cups white sugar
- 1 cup cooking oil
- 3 eggs
- 3 tsps. vanilla
- 2 cups grated zucchini
- 3 cups flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
Rolls

Scald milk. Set aside in large bowl sugar, shortening and salt
- 1- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup shortening
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 pkgs. yeast
- 1/2 warm water
- 5- 1/2 cups flour
- 2 eggs
Sweet and Crunchy Almonds

- 1 egg white
- 1 Tbsp. rum
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 Tbsp. cinnamon

- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 14 oz. can sweetened condensed
- milk

- 1 lb. diced pork or pork sausage
- 2 lbs. diced beef or hamburger
- 1 + lb. onions, diced
- 1 + lb. green peppers, diced
- 2 - 4 oz. chili powder
- 2 - 4 oz. garlic salt to taste
- 2 - 4 oz.mustard
- 6- 8 lbs. cooked pinto beans
- 4 -5 lbs. canned corn ( reserve
- liquid)
