Fry bacon and cut into bite-size pieces
- grated parmesan cheese, to taste
- 2 garlic cloves, minced ( estimate)
- 2 tablespoons italian seasoning ( estimate)
- salt and pepper
- 2 cups cooked pasta of your choice
- 1 (6 ounce) cans mushrooms, drained
- 1 (15 ounce) cans kidney beans
- 1 (28 ounce) cans tomato sauce
- 1 (28 ounce) cans diced tomatoes
- 2 large onions
- 2 green peppers, cut up
- 1 1/2 lbs ground beef or 1 1/2 lbs ground turkey
- 1/4 cup bacon

- 1 tablespoon oil

- 1 (700 mL) jar marinara sauce
- 1 cup (approximately half a can) full-fat coconut milk
- 2 to 3 tablespoons nutritional yeast (optional, for cheesy flavour)
- 1 box (450 g) dry bowtie pasta
Dark Chocolate Protein Energy Bites

Add the almond flour, protein powder, cacao powder, and salt to your food processor or blender and mix well
- 1 1/4 cup almond flour
- 1/2 cup chocolate protein powder
- 1/4 cup cacao powder
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 1/3 cup coconut oil, melted (yes, you can use a different kind of oil)
- 2 T almond butter
- 1 T honey (optional - you may not need it if you use a protein powder that's been lightly sweetened - see notes)
- 2 tsp pure vanilla extract (optional)
- 1/3 cup mini dark chocolate pieces (I use Enjoy Life dairy free, this is also OPTIONAL) or cacao nibs - epic!
