Preheat oven to 300°F and place racks in the upper and lower thirds of your oven
- 1 (7-ounce) tube pure almond paste (not marzipan; 3/4 cup)

- 1 cup stewed tomatoes
- 2 minced garlic cloves
- 2 1/2 cups chicken broth
- 1 1/2 tsp chili powder
