Sweet Cider Sauce

Melt the butter and brown sugar together in a saucepan over moderate heat
- A Nice complement to baked ham or a slice of pan-fried ham.
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 2 tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 tbsp. flour
- 12 oz. can frozen apple cider concentrate or apple juice concentrate, defrosted
- 1-2 tbsp. lemon juice (optional)
- Pinch fo cloves (optional)
Caramel Apples

1. Remove 1/2 inch wide strip of peel off the top of each apple and place apples in slow cooker
- 4 very large tart apples, cored
- 1/2 cup apple juice
- 8 tbsp. brown sugar
- 12 hot cinnamon candies
- 4 tbsp. butter
- 8 caramel candies
- whipped cream
Rigatoni with Gorgonzola Sauce

1. Cook pasta following pkg
- 1 lb. dried rigatoni pasta
- 2 tbsp. olive oil
- 3 sweet pepper, cored, seeded and cut into 1/4 inch thick slices
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 lb. Gorgonzola Cheese, crumbled
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, sub. dried basil
George Washington Gingerbread

Sift first seven ingredients together
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. ginger
- 1 1/2 cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. cloves
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 3/4 cup molasses
- 3/4 cup oil
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1 cup boiling water
NORDSTROMS CRISPY TORTILLA SOUP

In an 8 quart stockpot over medium heat, warm the oil and swirl to coat the bottom of the pan
- GARNISH:
- 2 T. veg. oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 yellow onion, finely chopped
- 3 cups finely chopped, peeled carrots
- 1 1/2 cups finely chopped celery
- 2 t. ground cumin
- Pinch of cayenne pepper
- 2 t. dried oregano
- 98 oz. chicken broth ( I think I used about 4 cups, but I am not sure, didnt want this much broth
- 1 can (15 oz.) red kidney beans) drained and rinsed
- 1 1/2 lbs. boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 can (14.5 oz. diced tomatoes in juice
- 1 cup frozen corn kernels (or canned rinsed and drained)
- 1 t. Tabasco sauce
- 2 t. worcestershire sauce
- Kosher salt
- Freshly ground pepper
- I like it thicker so I added flour and chicken broth for thickening, or you could puree.
- 1/2 About 1/2 cup sour cream
- 4 cups coarsely crushed tortilla chips
- 2 ripe avocados, diced
- 1/2 bunch fresh cilantro
- 2 limes, cut into wedges
Honey French Dressing

Combine all ingredients in a jar with a tight-fitting lid
- 1/4 cup cider vinegar
- 3/4 salad oil
- 1/4 tsp. paprika
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 cup honey
Celery Seed Dressing

Combine all ingredients. Beat with rotary beater until well blended and thick
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1 tsp. celery seeds
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1/4 to 1/3 cup vinegar
- 1 cup corn oil
- 1 tbsp. grated onion
Greek Salad

Combine all vegetables. Combine all ingredients for the dressing and mix well
- 1 can green beans, drained
- 1 can artichoke hearts
- 1 (4oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained
- 1 (6-8oz.) bottle stuffed olives, sliced
- 2 small onions, sliced
- Dressing
- 1 clove garlic (or powder to taste)
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/3 cup wine vinegar(garlic or plain)
- 3/4 cup olive oil or more
- Can add tomatoes, cucumber, celery, carrots, shredded
- 1 tsp. or less oregano
- Feta cheese
Chicken Cutlets with Curried Cream Sauce

1. Season the chicken breast halves on both sides with the salt
- Servings:
- Here is a simply sauced chicken saute that is easily made within 30 minutes.
- 2 chicken breast halves, boneless, skinless, pounded 1/4 inch thick
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 tbsp. unsalted butter
- 1/4 lb. mushrooms, quartered
- 1/3 cup half and half
- 1/4 tsp. curry powder
- 1/8 tsp. paprika
- 18 tsp. freshly ground pepper
- 1 tbsp. chopped parsley
- lemon wedges, for garnish
- Sauce needs to be doubled or tripled!

- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/3 cup oil
- 1 (4 3/4 oz. ) jar strained bananas
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 3/4 cup butter 1 (16 oz. ) box powdered sugar
- 1 (4 3/4 oz. ) jar strained bananas
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
