Quick Whipped Cream Biscuits

Cut 1/2 cup butter into flour with a pastry blender or fork until crumbly
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 cups self-rising flour
- 3/4 to 1 cup whipping cream*
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 3/4 *3/4 cup buttermilk and 1 tbsp. granulated sugar, stirred together, may be substituted for whipping cream.

- 4 cups sliced apples

- 1 clove garlic, chopped or crushed
- 1 cup chopped tomato

- 1/2 tsp. chili powder, more if you like it hot
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 cup long grain rice
- 2 cups broth, chicken or vegetable
- water if needed
