Country Barbecued Chicken

In a small bowl, combine the first seven ingredients
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 Tbsp molasses
- 2 tsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp canola oil
- 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1-1/2 to 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breast halves
- 2 Tbsp butter, melted
Seven-up Salad

Dissolve jello in water and 7-up
- 1 3oz box lemon jello
- 1 banana; cut fine
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup 7-up
- 1 large apple; peeled and chopped
- 1/2 cup small marshmallows
- 1 (15 oz) can crushed pineapple, drained (SAVE JUICE)
- TOPPING: (or use Cool Whip mixed with saved pineapple juice)
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup pineapple juice
- 1 Tbsp flour
- 1/2 pint heavy cream, whipped
- 1 Tbsp butter

- 1 1/2 cup evaporated milk
Snickerdoodle Muffins

Preheat oven to 375 degrees
- 2 C flour
- 3/4 tsp. baking soda
- 3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 C butter,softened
- 1 C sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 C milk
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 C sugar
- 1 Tbsp cinnamon
Oriental Cabbage Salad

Crush Ramen noodles and brown on cookie sheet with almonds 5 minutes @ 400 degrees
- DRESSING:
- 2 pkg Ramen, oriental flavor
- chopped green onion
- 1 pkg chopped cabbage
- 1/4 cup chopped or sliced almonds
- 1/2 cup sesame seeds
- 3 Tbsp cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup salad oil
- flavor packets from Ramen
Beignets

In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water
- 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
- 1 1/2 cups warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- 7 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup shortening
- 1 quart vegetable oil for frying
- 1/4 cup confectioners' sugar
Poppy Seed Bread

Mix all ingredients well for 2 minutes
- 3 cups flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/8 cup cooking oil
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp poppy seed
- 1 1/2 tsp almond extract
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp butter flavoring
- 1 1/2 cup milk
- 2 1/4 cup sugar
Oatmeal Cookies

Form into rolls. Refrigerate – can be frozen
- Cream until fluffy:
- 1 C butter
- 1 C brown sugar
- 1 C sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 eggs
- Add:
- 1 1/2 C flour
- 1 tsp cream of tartar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 C regular oats (not instant)
Oven fries

Cut each potatoes lengthwise into eight 1/2" thick wedges
- 2 large russet potatoes
- 1 1/2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 1/2 tsp finely chopped rosemary
- 3/4 tsp sea salt
Low-Carb BBQ Sauce

Cook onion and over medium until soft - 3-5 minutes
- 1 small onion, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 small can (6 oz) tomato paste
- 1 can (12 oz) diet (sugar-free) cola - Splenda-sweetened preferred
- 1/4 cup low carb (sugar-free) catsup
- 3 T mustard
- 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Liquid Smoke to taste
