  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 28 baby carrots, quartered
  • 3 stalks celery, chopped
  • 2 (14.5 ounce) cans stewed tomatoes with juice
  • 1 cup long-grain rice
  • 10 green beans, cut into bite-size pieces
  • 2 cubes chicken bouillon
  • 1 tablespoon dried marjoram
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste

  • 1/4 cup (62.5 ml) milk
  • 60 - 70 grams cheese (we used 40 grams freshly grated Parmesan cheese & 30 grams Mozzarella cheese)

  • 2 cups (500 ml) unsalted homemade chicken stock
  • 398 mL tomato sauce
  • 156 ml tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon (1.4 g) basil
