  • Stainless Steel appliances:
  • Cream of tartar and lemon juice. Apply, wait 1 to 2 minutes, and wipe away with paper towel.
  • Grout:
  • Hydrogen peroxide, baking soda and a tooth brush to apply and scrub.
  • Red wine in carper:
  • Pour white wine over the stained area, sprinkle with baking soda on top and let it sit. Once a paste forms, scrub and wipe.
  • Nail Polish in carpet:
  • On light carpet, use nail polish remover. On dark carpet, spritz with hair spray, wait a few seconds, then scrub.
  • Microwave:
  • Mix a little white vinegar and lemon juice in a bowl. Heat up in the microwave. Remove the bowl, then gently swipe a damp cloth through the inside. It leaves a fresh, lemony scent. DO NOT USE VINEGAR on granite.
  • Coffee Maker:
  • Fill up the reservoir with water and white vinegar. Run through cycle, then flush with water until the vinegar smell is gone.
  • Clean front load washer:
  • by adding 1 cup white distilled vinegar to the machine and run through cycle.
  • Pre Laundry Soak:
  • 1 T. white vinegar, 1/2 tap. laundry detergent, 1 quart cool water. Soak the stained item in the solution for 15 minutes before rinsing. Launder as usual.
