Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- 1 1/2 cups dates, pitted
- 1/2 cup milk, hot
- 1 banana, very ripe, mashed
- 3 cups King Arthur flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons nutmeg
- 1 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1/2 cup melted butter

Pasta Roma Soup

Cook the pasta according to package directions
- 1/2 cup mini-bow-tie pasta
- 2 cans garbanzo beans, drained (16 ounces)

- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 T Worcestershire sauce

- 1/3 pound chicken livers, coarsely chopped
- 2 tablespoons sage, chopped
- 1 pound ground veal
- 1 pound ground pork
- 1 pound ground lamb
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups red wine
- 2 cups beef stock
- 1 can (14 1/2 ounces) whole tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons basil, chopped
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 24 lasagna noodles
- 4 cups white sauce recipe, (see recipe below)
- 3/4 cup Parmesan cheese
- 1 stick butter
- 1/2 cup King Arthur flour
- salt and pepper to taste
