- 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice (from 1 lemon)
- 4 pounds (8 to 10) apples, such as Empire, Granny Smith, Gala, Cortland, Winesap, or a mix
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
- Eggwash (egg thinned slightly with water)
Black Bean Soup

1. In a large pot over medium-high heat, add 1 tablespoon oil and cook ham until brown, 2 to 3 minutes per side
