Broccoli Cheese Soup - Black Eyed Pea Restaurant CopyKat

This is an incredibly rich, and tasty version of this soup
- 1 1/2 lbs. Broccoli – fresh, chopped
- 2 C. Water
- 3/4 tsp. Salt
- 1/2 C. Cornstarch mixed with 1-cup water
- 1 pint half-and-half
- 1 pound pasteurized processed cheese (Velveeta)
Crispy, charred, Pan-Seared….Brussels Spouts

Cut sprouts in half; rinse, drain, set aside Chop Onion Mince garlic Heat butter in sauté pan over Medium-High
- 1 lb. raw Brussels Sprouts
- 1 Spanish Onion (Chopped)
- 4 clove garlic (minced)
- 1/4 Cup Grass fed Organic Butter
- 1/4 Cup Olive Oil or Bacon Fat
- 2 Wedges fresh Lemon
- Salt
- Pepper
Pizza Sauce

You can use canned San Marzano tomatoes (Pomodori Pellati) to create a wonderful, and simple pizza tomato base
- 1 can (28 oz) San Marzano tomatoes
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of oregano
- Options
- 1 teaspoon dried basil or 2 tablespoons of fresh basil
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar or lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil – done forget to swirl excellent EVOO on your pizza right before you put it in the oven
Potato Pancakes, Momma's

Mix egg into mashed potatoes with a fork until well blended
- 2 cups cold leftover mashed potatoes
- 1 whole egg
- 1/4 cup flour (all purpose or self rising)
- 2 T. finely diced onions, optional
Collard Greens with Hot Pepper Sauce

Combine all in pot and bring to a boil
- Collards
- 3 bunches collard greens
- 3/4 C cider Vinegar
- 2 quarts water
- 1/4 C salt
- Ham Hock, Ham bone, or pieces of country ham, optional
- Rinse greens well. Remove spines and chop coarsely, place in pot. Add all other ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until collards are tender, about two hours, adding more water if

- 3 C water
- 1 C white vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon salt

Buttercream Icing - Wilton

Our Buttercream Icing recipe is perfect for spreading or decorating
- 1/2 cup solid vegetable shortening
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine softened
- 1 teaspoon clear vanilla extract Easy-Add clear vanilla extract Add to shopping list clear vanilla extract
- 4 cups sifted confectioners' sugar (approximately 1 lb.)

- This is not much of a recipe, but here goes:
- 15-20 ripe pears, slice off of the core
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 1/2 of a vanilla bean, seeds scraped out
- 1 really big bottle of cheapity-cheap store brand vodka

- 1 cup butter or margarine (I use whichever I have)
- 2 cups light or dark brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2-1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups quick oats (can use old fashioned)
- 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips (can use milk chocolate)
