Worcestershire Sauce - Homemade

Place all ingredients in a medium saucepan and stir thoroughly
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper

- 1 whole chicken (between 2 - 4 lbs)
- Salt/Pepper/Spices to coat the skin (Use salt and pepper at a minimum, but feel free to add whatever spices you like best. We used garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, and thyme.)
- 2 Tbs olive oil
- 3/4 cup fluid: chicken broth or water
Roast, Pot Roast

In a large bowl or plate, combine the flour and black pepper to taste
- 3 1/2 pound pot roast (I get arm chuck pot roast)
- 1/2 cup flour
- Sprinkling of Pepper
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 envelope dry onion soup mix
- 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup white cooking wine (it's next to the vinegar at the grocery store)
- Carrots and Celery- Optional
- Gravy Ingredients
- Pot Roast Drippings
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup milk
Caesar Salad Dressing

So really this is not the recipe that came out o fthe book I changed it a tad to be honest
- 2 Cloves of garlic, shread or finely chopped
- 1/3 C. Olive Oil
- 3 Tbl. Lemon juice
- 1 Tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 Tsp. Salt
- 1/4 Tsp. Dry mustard
- Fresh ground pepper
- Parmesan Cheese (either mix into dressing or add to salad)
Cornbread Salad | Southern Plate

- 1 pan cornbread (see recipe here or use a package of cornbread mix)
- 1 cup diced onions
- 1 bell pepper, seeded and diced
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 15 ounce can whole kernel corn, drained
- 1 pound bacon, cooked until crisp and crumbled
- 2-3 cups mayonnaise (I used two)

Fried Pies

Place dried fruit in a pot and add water
- 6-7 * 6-7 ounces dried fruit (I used peaches, can use apples, apricots, or other dried fruit)
- 1 * 1 cup sugar
- 2 * 2 cups water
- 1/4 * 1/4 cup butter or margarine
- 1 * 1 T lemon juice (optional, but I use it)
- 1/2 * 1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional, but I use it) – if using apples, I add 1/4 tsp Allspice too
- 10 * 10 – 15 flaky layers biscuits
Cornbread Dressing

1. Preheat oven to 450
- CORNBREAD:
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 3/4 c buttermilk
- 1/4 c canola oil
- 2 c corn meal
- DRESSING:
- 5 celery stalks, diced
- 1 md onion, diced
- 1 stk butter, unsalted (get recipes @ goboldwithbutter.com)
- 1 bag cornbread stuffing mix
- 1 Tbsp rubbed sage
- 1 tsp salt
- 48 oz chicken broth
- hot water
- 6 slices white bread
Watergate Salad

Mix the pineapple with it's juice with the dry pudding until well blended
- 1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, with the juice (don't drain)
- 1 (3.5 oz.) box instant pistachio pudding
- 8 oz. frozen whipped topping
- 1 cup nuts, chopped
- 1 cup miniature marshmallows

- 1 cup (2 sticks) of unsalted butter, room temperature
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup of finely chopped toasted pecans, or whole pecan halves, optional
- 3 1/4 cups granulated sugar, divided
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) of butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 cup boiling water
- HOMEMADE CARAMEL ICING:
