A-Z can equal 2 cups of almost anything: Apples, grated; Applesauce, Apricots, chopped, Bananas, mashed, Blueberrie
- 3 cups flour
- 1 tea. salt
- 1 tea. baking soda
- 3 tea. cinnamon
- 1/2 tea. baking powder
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup oil
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups "A-Z"
- 3 tea. vanilla
- 1 cup nuts, if desired
- 1 cup raisins, boiled
Acorn Squash - jalapeno jelly & cranberry sauce

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- 4 acorn squash, halved and seeded
- 1/2 cup canned cranberry sauce
- 1/2 cup jalapeno jelly
- 1/2 cup currants or raisins
Chicken with Mustard Sauce

Rub chicken with 1/4 tea. salt and 1/8 tea
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves
- 1/2 tea. salt, divided
- 1/4 tea. pepper, divided
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 4 tea. honey mustard
- 1 Tbsp. milk
- 1/2 tea. dried basil
- 1/2 tea. dried parsley flakes
- 1/2 cup sour cream
Apple Cake

This is excellent for picnics; it keeps well and stays moist
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tea. baking soda
- 1 tea. baking powder
- 1/2 tea. salt
- 1 tea. cinnamon
- 1/2 tea. nutmeg
- 1/2 tea. cloves
- 3 cups peeled, sliced Washington apples (any combination of braeburn, fuji, gala or red delicious)
- 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
Pork Marinades

Beer & Mustard Marinade Italian Red Wine Marinade
- BEER & MUSTARD MARINADE
- 1 bottle (12 oz) lager beer
- 3 green onions,m white and green parts, chopped
- 1/4 cup whole grain mustard
- 1/4 cup molasses (not blackstrap)
- 2 Tbsp. canola oil
- 1 tea. coarse salt
- 1 tea. hot red pepper sauce
- ITALIAN RED WINE MARINADE
- 1 1/2 cups hearty red wine, such as Shiraz
- 3 Tbsp. balsamic vinegar
- 3 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 Tbsp. Italian dried herb seasoning
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 tea. coarse salt
- 1/2 tea. black pepper
Tangerine Marmalade

Makes 7 half-pints
- 10 to 12 medium tangerines
- 7 cups sugar
- 1/2 of a 6 oz. pkg. (1 foil pouch) liquid fruit pectin
Chipotle Peach Jam

Makes 7 half-pints
- 7 cups sugar
- 4 cups finely chopped, peeled ripe peaches (about 3 lbs)
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1/2 of a 6 oz. pkg. (1 foil pouch) liquid fruit pectin
- 2 finely chopped chipotle chile peppers in adobo sauce
New Mexico Green Chili Stew

Heat oil in a large dutch oven
- 2 tea. vegetable oil
- 3/4 lb. pork stew meat, cut into 1" chunks
- 3 garlic cloves, peeled and finely chopped
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 jalapeno pepper, finely chopped
- 1 (28 oz) can of roasted New Mexican green chilies, roughly chopped or torn apart by hand
- 1 tea. cumin
- salt and pepper, to taste
- 3 cups chicken broth
Waffles - Churro Waffles

1.In a large bowl, mix together flour, salt, baking powder and sugar; set aside
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 tablespoons white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups of all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups warm milk
- 1/3 cup butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 shakes of cinnamon plus
- For the churro topping-
- 1 cup of white sugar
- 1/2 cup cinnamon
- 1/2 cup of melted butter
Coleslaw - Asian Tuna Slaw

In a small bowl, whisk together vinegar and next 6 ingredients until well combined
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 2 Tbsp. toasted sesame oil
- 2 Tbsp. fresh lime juice
- 1 Tbsp. honey
- 1/2 tea. salt
- 1/4 tea. crushed red pepper
- 1 head Napa cabbage, finely shredded
- 1 (8 oz) package fresh snow peas, trimmed
- 1 (6 oz) package slivered almonds, toasted
- 1 red bell pepper, finely chopped
- 1 cup shredded carrot
- 1/2 cup sliced green onion
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 (11 oz) package chunk white albacore tuna
