GINGER-BEEF STIR-FRY

- 8 ounces beef top round steak
- 1/2 cup reduced-sodium beef broth
- 3 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 2 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger

- 1 1/4 pounds fresh asparagus spears, trimmed and cut into 2” pieces (3 cups), or 3 cups small broccoli florets

- 4 tablespoons dry ground mustard (mustard flour)
- 1/4 cup water
- 3 tablespoons white distilled vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon Wondra flour
- 1/4 teaspoon plus 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon turmeric
- pinch garlic powder
- pinch paprika
SOURDOUGH BREAD

Place ingredients in the bread machine pan in the order suggested by the manufacturer
- 1 1/4cups1 1/4 cups sourdough starter (see recipe)
- 3/4cup3/4 cup warm water
- 4cups4 cups bread flour
- 1 3/4teaspoons1 3/4 teaspoons salt
- 3tbsp.3 tbsp. granulated sugar
- 1 3/4teaspoons1 3/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
COUNTRY WHITE BREAD OR DINNER ROLLS (BREAD MACHINE)

In bread machine pan, place all ingredients from flour through yeast in order as recommended by the manufacturer
- 1 cup water, plus
- 1 tablespoon water (70-80 F)
- 1 large egg
- 4 1/2 teaspoons vegetable oil
- 3 1/4 cups bread flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 2 tablespoons melted butter (for dinner rolls only) (optional)
- 2 tablespoons shortening (for dinner rolls only) (optional)
CHICKEN CREOLE WITH CHILE CREAM SAUCE

Season chicken with Creole seasoning
- 4 boneless chicken breast halves
- 2 tsp. Creole or Cajun seasoning
- 1 tbsp. olive oil
- 1 can (10 3/4- oj.) Cream of Chicken Soup
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 can (4- oz.) chopped green chiles
- 1 tsp. lime juice
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- Hot cooked rice
