FOR CAKE: Melt butter in 2 quart or larger saucepan; add cocoa and water and bring to a boil

- 2 c sugar

- 2 1/2 c flour
- 1/2 c milk

- 6 Tbsp milk
- 1 Tbsp hot water

- Rib Rub:
- 1 teaspoon celery seeds
- 1 teaspoon coarse salt
- 2 tablespoons sweet Hungarian paprika
- 1 teaspoon granulated garlic or garlic powder
- Ribs:
- 1 large meaty rack baby back or St. Louis pork ribs (2 to 2 1/2 pounds)
- 1/4 cup white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke (optional)

- 3 tablespoons chopped almonds
- 4 teaspoons brown sugar
