Sausage Stuffed French Bread

Ingredients
- 1 loaf French bread
- 1 lb. hot sausage
- 1/4 cup chopped celery
- 1/4 cup green pepper, chopped
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- sliced Monterey Jack cheese*

Method:
Slice loaf of French bread in half, lengthwise; pick out the inside of the loaf. Reserve the crumbs.
Cook sausage, green pepper and celery until sausage is brown. Drain well. Add bread crumbs to sausage mixture; mix well. Mix milk and eggs together and add to sausage mixture. Place sausage mixture in bread. Top with cheese. Put the top of the bread on and spread with butter.
Bake at 350˚F for 30 minutes.
*You can use shredded sharp cheddar cheese, if desired.
