Ingredients
- 1 lb. spaghetti
- 3/4 c olive oil divided
- 6 cloves garlic
- 2- 4oz. cans sardines packed in oil
- 1 c seasoned breadcrumbs
- 1/3 c grated cheese ( parmesan or romano)
- 1/4 c chopped parsley
- 1 tsp. black pepper
- crushed tomatoes
- raisins
- pignolli nuts (pine nuts) lightly toasted

Preparation
Step 1
Cook pasta al dente. Toss with 1/4 c olive oil and set aside. Saute garlic with remaining oil, add sardines and cook for a few minutes. Add some crushed tomatoes, raisins and pignolli nuts. Raisins and pignolli nuts are as many as you want. Stir in parsley and pepper. Cook for about 1/2 hour. In medium frying pan lightly brown extra breadcrumbs mixed with Italian cheese. Mix sauce with pasta and top with breadcrumb mixture. Top with more grated Italian cheese
