  • Filling:
  • 1 Pkg. Pudding Style Dark Chocolate Cake Mix
  • 1 1/4 Cups Water
  • 1/3 Cup Oil
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 (21oz) Cherry Pie Filling
  • 1/2 tsp Almond Extract
  • Frosting:
  • 2 Cups Whipping Cream (unwhipped)
  • 1/2 Cups Powdered Sugar
  • 2 TBS. Brandy
  • Chocolate Shavings



Step 1

Preheat oven to 350*, grease and flour 2 8"or9" round cake pans.
Make cake as directed on package. Bake according to package also. Let Cool completely when done.

In a bowl, mix the filling ingredients.

In a bigger bowl, whip the 2 cups of whip cream at high speed till thickened, add the powdered sugar slowly. Beat until soft peaks form, fold in brandy.

Put cake upside down on a plate spread about 1 cup of the filling on top, but not too close to the edge. Place the second layer on top of the filling. Frost cake, sides to the top with the whipping cream. Decoate the top center of the cake with remaining filling and garnish as you like. Refrigerate
