Ingredients
- 2/3 cup flour
- 2/3 cup oil
- 2/3 cup onion chopped
- 1/4 cup green pepper chopped
- 1/3 cup green onions chopped
- 1/4 cup parsley chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 2 1/2 cups HOT water
- 1 1/2 pounds shrimp peeled and cleaned
- 1 pound imitation crabmeat, lump style
- 1 (5 3/4 oz) can mushroom steak sauce

Step 1
In a 4 cup microwavable measuring cup, mix flour and oil. Microwave on high for 7 - 9 minutes or until golden brown. Stir at 6 1/2 minutes, just as roux starts to darken. Add onions and continue to microwave on high for 3 minutes. Add green peppers and green onions and microwave on high another 2 -3 minutes, stirring, until sauteed. Put roux in a 3 quart dish and add parsley, salt, pepper, and hot water. Microwave on high for 10 minutes, uncovered. Add shrimp, crabmeat, and steak sauce. Microwave, uncovered, on 70% power for 20 - 25 minutes or until thick.
