Pork: Country style Pork Chops

Ingredients

  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 cup (8 ozs) fresh mushrooms, sliced, optional
  • 2 tbls vegetable oil
  • 4 boneless pork chops, salt & peppered to taste (may use chops with bones)
  • 1 (12 oz) jar Heinz HomeStyle Pork Gravy
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 (2.8 oz) can French Fried Onions

Preparation

Step 1

1. Brown onion & mushrooms in oil over medium-high heat on stove top until tender.

2. Add in pork chops until browned on both sides. Season with salt & pepper.

3. Transfer all to slow cooker & pour gravy over all. Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.

4. In last 30 minutes of cooking time, stir in sour cream.

5. Remove from slow cooker and top with French fried onions rings & serve.
