Shannon's Slow Cooker Beef Pot Roast

I was pleased to find a slow cooker pot roast recipe that is not packed with unhealthy ingredients. This gets more delicious and more tender the longer it cooks.

Ingredients
- 2 to 2.5 lb boneless beef chuck pot roast
- 1 lb whole tiny new potatoes (or 3 medium potatoes, cubed into equal sized chunks)
- 8 carrots, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 2 small onions, cut into wedges
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp concentrated beef stock (Beef Bovril or equivalent)
- 1 tsp dried basil, crushed

Preparation
Step 1
Trim all fat from roast. Place potatoes, carrots and onions in the bottom of the slow cooker. Place meat on top.
In a small bowl, combine water, Worcestershire sauce, beef stock and basil. Pour over meat and vegetables.
Cover and cook on low heat for 10-12 hours until meat is tender.
