Ingredients

  • 1

    lb Ground Pork

  • 1/2

    medium Yellow Onions

  • 6

    oz Potato, Raw

  • 1

    oz 1% Milk

  • 1/2

    cup Plain Bread Crumbs

  • 1

    Refrigerated Pie Crust

Directions

Step 1 In a large pan, cover the pork and dice onion with water, stirring to break up the meat. Bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally until the water is almost dissolved (approximately 1 hour). Step 2: Peel, cut, and boil the potatoes for 20 minutes. Mash, and then mix into the cooked meat. Add the seasoning and enough bread crumbs to hold mixture together. Allow mixture to cool completely. Make pie crust or use Pillsbury pie crust. Put in 9" pie pan. Put meat mixture in crust and crimp the sides. Bake at 425 * for 15 minutes. At this point check the edges of the pie crust. If they have browned, I cover them with aluminum foil to prevent them from burning. Bake the pie for another 25 minutes at 350. You can serve the pie while hot or cool them and freeze. To cook from frozen, heat oven to 350* and cook 45 - 60 minutes.
