Ingredients
- 1 pound shell pasta
- 1 pound of sausage links, chopped into pieces
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 or 4 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1 (14 oz) can of diced tomatoes (or use Rotel for extra spice!)
- 1 (8 oz) can of tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 1 or 2 teaspoons crushed red pepper flake, optional
- 3 tablespoons half and half, cream or milk (whatever you have on hand)
- Parmesan Cheese, grated to garnish
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO)

Preparation
Step 1
1. Over medium-high heat, bring a large pot of water to boil. Once your water is boiling, drop your pasta and cook until al dente.
2. Meanwhile, in a large skillet over medium-high heat, saute your chopped sausage in a drizzle of EVOO with your onion and garlic. Once your onion is tender (about 5 minutes), add in your diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning and crushed pepper flakes, reduce heat to low and simmer another 5 to 10 minutes.
3. Once your pasta is cooked, drain the water off and add hot pasta to your tomato sauce mixture. Stir in your cream. Remove from heat and ladle into bowls with Parmesan cheese as your garnish.
