Ingredients

  • 1 # ground chuck
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (46 oz can) no salt added tomato juice
  • 2/3 c. water
  • 2 c. shredded cabbage
  • 1 12 c. cubed potatoes
  • 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
  • 2 tsp dried Italian seasoning
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 tsp crushed red pepper
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 (16 oz) package frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 tsp sugar

Step 1

Combine beef and garlic; cook over medium heat until browned. Drain. Add tomato juice and next 10 ingred. Bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 40 min. stirring occasionally. Stir in mixed veg. Cover and cook 25 min.
