Mushrooms Stuffed - Mom's

Ingredients
- 1 10 oz pkge fresh mushrooms
- 3 tablespons olive oil
- 1/4 cup finely diced onion
- 1 teaspoon garlic-finely chopped
- 2 teaspoons parmesan cheese
- 1 cup day old bread crumbs
- 1/3 cup seasoned bread crumbs (I use only bread crumbs)
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregon

Step 1
RINSE MUSHROOMS - REMOVE STEMS. CHOP STEMS FINELY AND SET ASIDE
PREHEAT OVEN TO 350 DEGREES. IN LARGE SKILLET, HEAT OIL OVER MEDIUM HEAT. ADD ONIONS AND GARLIC - SAUTE UNTIL SOFTEN
ADD MUSHROOM STEMS-COOK 3 TO 5 MINUTES. LOWER HEAT AND ADD CHEESE, BREAD CRUMBS AND BASIL. STIR UNTIL MOIST. IF .
. STUFFING IS TOO DRY ADD WATER TEASPOON AT A TIME. USING A TEASPOON PLACE STUFFING IN MUSHROOM CAPS. PLACE IN A
9-BY-13 BAKING PAN WITH JUST ENOUGH WATER TO COVER BOTTOM. BAKE UNCOVERED FOR 15 - 20 MINUTS THEN PLACE UNDER
BROILER FOR AN ADDITIONAL 3-5 MINUTES UNTIL TOPS ARE SLIGHTLY CRISPY AT THE EDGES. SERVES: 4-6
I DON'T REMEMBER THE WATER PART - JUST SPRAY PAN AND BAKE.
