Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb mushrooms
  • 3 c boilign water
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1 small onion
  • 5 T butter
  • 3 T flour
  • 1 c whipping cream
  • salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

Step 1

Peel mushroom and remove stems. Add them into 3 c boiling water. Boil for 1/2 hr. Add salt. Drain and set aside the liquid boullion. Slice raw peeled mushroom caps thin. Chop onion and cook mushrooms and onions slowly in butter till brown approx 2 to 3 minutes. Melt more butter in another saucepan add flour and mix well, add mushroom liquid together with cream. Stir till mixture in smooth. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add onions and mushrooms. simmer 5 minutes and serve
