- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 1 1/2 tablespoons mild curry powder
- 1 tablespoon hot pepper jelly
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 3 green onions
- 3/4 cup smoked almonds, chopped
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries
- 12 slices nice sourdough bread
- Baby arugula
Long Island Iced Tea

Put the ice cubes in a mixing glass
- 6 ice cubes
- 1/2 jigger gin
- 1/2 jigger vodka
- 1/2 jigger white rum
- 1/2 jigger tequila
- 1/2 jigger Cointreau
- 1 jigger fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar syrup (see note)
- Cola
- Lemon slice, to decorate
Colorful Turkey Chili

Method: In a large saucepan, heat canola oil over medium-high heat
- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- 1 pound ground turkey breast or thigh
- 1 medium red onion, chopped
- 1 medium green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 cup mushroom marinara sauce
- 2 teaspoons chili powder, or to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt, or to taste
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne red pepper, or to taste
- 1/8 teaspoon paprika
- 1 can white kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
Spicy Linguine with Clams and Mussels

Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil over high heat
- 1 pound linguine pasta
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 large or 4 small shallots, sliced
- Kosher salt, for seasoning, plus 2 teaspoons
- Freshly ground black pepper, for seasoning, plus 1 teaspoon
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup white wine (recommended: Pinot Grigio)
- 1 cup vegetable broth
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 12 littleneck clams, cleaned
- 12 mussels, cleaned
