- 2 cups All purpose flour
- 1 pinch baking powder
- 1 tbs dry yeast
- 2 tbs plain yogurt
- 1 tbs sugar
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1 tbs oil ( veg or olive)
- salt to taste
- 3 cloves chopped garlic
- butter to baste
Pizza Egg Rolls

Brown Italian sausage in a skillet over medium heat
- 1/4 pound ground mild Italian sausage
- 1 cup diced pepperoni
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 1/2 yellow onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- Approximately 12 egg roll wrappers
- 1 egg, beaten
- oil for frying
Palestinian Salad Dressing and Salad

Crush the garlic clove with the back of a kitchen knife and place in the bowl
- 1 • 1 large clove of garlic
- 1 • 1 teaspoon fine sea salt (approximately)
- 1 • 1 lemon for juicing
- 3 • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 • 1 head of romaine, cut into 2-inch-wide strips, washed and covered in a damp towel and left to crisp in the refrigerator for half an hour
- 1 • 1 scallion slivered
- 1 • 1 cucumber peeled and cut into half-moons
- 3 • 3 radishes, cut into eights
Pickled Red Onions

In a small bowl, combine red wine vinegar with 1/2 cup of cold tap water
- 1/2 cup red wine vinegar (I swapped half with regular vinegar; I was being stingy with my fancy red wine stuff)
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 2 tablespoons kosher salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 to 3 really good shots hot sauce (recommended: Tabasco)
- 1 red onion, sliced into very thin rings
Sourdough Country Bread

- Starter:
- 1135 grams Bread Flour
- 1135 grams Whole Wheat Flour
- 455 grams lukewarm water
- Per Feeding :
- 150 grams flour blend
- 100 grams lukewarm water ( you might need 50 grams more)
- Leaven:
- 200 grams lukewarm water
- 1 tablespoon starter
- 100 grams bread flour
- 100 grams whole wheat flour
- Bread: (makes 2 loaves)
- 750 grams lukewarm water
- 200 grams starter
- 900 grams bread flour
- 100 grams whole wheat flour
- 20 grams salt
Homemade Animal Crackers

- 8 ounces flour
- 3 ounces unsalted butter, room temperature
- 4 ounces sugar
- 1/4 ounce powdered milk
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 ounce vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 ounces egg whites
- Extra flour for dusting
Soft Scrambled Eggs With Avocado

- 12 eggs
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 3 avocados, peeled, pitted and sliced
- Chopped fresh chives, for garnish
Cream of Wheat with Egg and Vanilla

Bring the milk, water, and salt to a boil, then immediately reduce to a simmer
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup Cream of Wheat (2 1/2 minute variety)
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 egg yolk*
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- Grated nutmeg
- Milk and butter, to serve (if you're feeling indulgent)
Nutty Warm Brussels Sprouts Salad

1 Heat 1 teaspoon oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat
- 1 1/2 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil, DIVIDED
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/3 cup fresh breadcrumb
- 3/4 lb Brussels sprout, trimmed and halved (about 3 cups)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
- 1 1/2 tablespoons walnuts, TOASTED finely chopped
- 1/2 ounce asiago cheese, shaved
Roasted Garlic Potatoes
