Fried Onion Dip

Cut the onions in half and then slice them into 1/8-inch thick half-rounds
- 2 large yellow onions
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 4 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup good mayonnaise
Lemon Cupcakes with Coconut Whipped Cream

For the coconut whipped cream: Chill the bowl and whisk of a stand mixer in the freezer for about 10 minutes
- Coconut Whipped Cream:
- One 13.5-ounce can of coconut milk (not light), such as Thai Kitchen brand or Whole Foods 365 brand, chilled in the refrigerator overnight (be sure not to shake or stir)
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- Cupcakes:
- Nonstick cooking spray, for spraying the cupcake liners
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon fine salt
- 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 3/4 cup maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons lemon zest (about 2 lemons) plus 1/4 cup lemon juice, plus additional zest, for garnish
- 1 tablespoon lemon extract
- Fresh berries and mint leaves, for garnish
Cinnamon Swirl Bread - Bread Machine

- 2 packages (1/4 ounce each) active dry yeast
- 1/3 cup warm water (110° to 115°)
- 1 cup warm whole milk (110° to 115°)
- 1 cup sugar, divided
- 2 large eggs
- 6 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1-1/2 teaspoons salt
- 5-1/2 to 6 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

- Marinade:
- Any vegetables of your choice for the grill.
- Most important is big onions - cutting them in large slices - keeping them whole (not like individual onion rings).
- Olive oil with the following ingredients mixed in:
- salt
- pepper
- oregano
- paprika
- balsamic vinegar
Pasta with Broccoli

Melt butter in a 2-quart saucepan over medium heat
- 1 pound medium pasta shells; cooked
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 12 oz. broccoli florets; steamed
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 1/4 cup thinly sliced green onions
- 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
- 2 tsp chopped fresh parsley
- grated Parmesan cheese
- Bechamel Sauce
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 quart milk
- 2 tsp mashed chicken bouillon cubes
Open House Holiday Punch

1. In a large pitcher, combine juices, rum, Grand Marnier, and grenadine
- 1 (64-oz) bottle white cranberry juice 1 cup OJ (preferably fresh squeezed)
- 1 cup pineapple juice
- 1 1/4 cups dark rum (or bourbon]
- 1/4 cup Grand Marnier or triple sec
- 1 tsp grenadine Slices of orange, lemon, or other fruit
- Maraschino cherries
