Yep, this is my mom's recipe
- 1 cup sugar
- 7 or 8 cups flour (yes, you must go by the "feel")
- 1/2 lb. butter or Crisco
- 3 egg yolks
- 1/2 of a moist yeast cube or 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 pint milk or 12 oz. can evaporated milk and water to make 2 cups
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Pistachio Puff

In a medium bowl, combine whipped topping and pudding mix; blend well
- 8 oz. container frozen whipped topping
- 3.4 oz. pkg. instant pistachio pudding mix
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 cup sweetened flaked coconut
- 15.25 oz. can crushed pineapple, drained
- 10 oz. jar maraschino cherries, drained
- 3 cups mini marshmallows
Chicken Parmesan Stromboli

Preheat oven to 400F. Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
- 2 teaspoons olive or vegetable oil
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (shout 8 ounces)
- 1 jar (28 ounces) Ragu Chunky Gardenstyle Pasta Sauce
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh parsley (optional)
- 1 pound fresh or frozen thawed bread dough
Carbonnade à la Flamande (Flemish Beef Stew)

- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 pounds beef flatiron or blade steaks, cut into 1/3-inch-thick slices, about 3 inches wide
- Salt and freshly ground pepper

- Three 12-ounce cans beer

- 1 Teaspoon Celery seed
- 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
Pate Brisee [Pie Crust]

Yields 1 double crust or 2 single 9" pie crusts
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar (only for sweet pies, omit sugar for savory pies)
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, chilled and cut into small cubes
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup ice water
