- 3/4 cup cranberry halves
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 1 cup milk
- 4 tbsp shortening, melted
Marinated Broccoli with Red Peppers

- 2 tbsp olive oil

- 2 1/4 cups water
- 1 cup dried green lentils
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1 minced garlic clove
- 1/4 c up chopped onion
- 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
- 2 cups bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup ground flaxseeds
- Olive oil
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 2 minced garlic cloves
- 3 cups finely chopped mushrooms
- 1 1/2 cups finely chopped kale or other winter greens
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- Toasted buns, if desired
