Spanish Roasted Asparagus Wrapped in Serrano Ham

- 1 pound thinly sliced serrano ham (about 24 slices)

- 1 tablespoon cornstarch

- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper

- 3 tablespoons buttermilk
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
